On November 15, 2014, in Washington, D.C., I had the pleasure of hosting my second style workshop with Sheer Luxe Beauty! In addition to discussing healthy hair care, protective styling and a host of other topics, I was joined by Yolanda Renee and Mel Burgos for a “Hair Crimes 101” and Q&A panel discussion.
I like interaction, so I always make it an interactive experience. Everyone was encouraged to participate and share their experiences and what they’ve learned in their hair care journey. It always means so much to me to have the opportunity to share with you all in person!

Yolanda Renee is the creator of Et Cetera, which consists of a blog, YouTube channel, and online boutique. Yolanda Renee published her first children’s coloring book October 2013, entitiled Curlies Color Too! Everything stems for her love of natural hair, but her purpose is to motivate and inspire.

Mel Burgos was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. She served ten years in the U.S. Navy and is currently a management analyst for the Department of Health and Human Services U.S. She’s also a lifestyle and beauty blogger! Her goal is to inspire Latinas and women of other nationalities through.
