In this tutorial, I am going to use and review the new Carol’s Daughter Sacred Tiare line I received in my March Curlbox on my baby sister’s hair.
Note: This line can be used for non-heat, natural styling as well as straightening. It is not considered a “straightening system,” but it is ideal for those who need help controlling frizz while adding moisture and strength to the hair. There are no permanent or straightening chemicals in any of these products.
The Carol’s Daughter Sacred Tiare line is designed to help stop breakage and eliminate frizz on the styling end. In this tutorial, I use and review four of the six products available in this line.
Sulfate-Free Shampoo is safe for all hair types, even color treated tresses, and it helps stop shedding and breakage. The formula is infused with protein rich copra coconut oil blended with Tiare Gardenia Flower, and frizz-stopping Shea Butter and Moringa Seed Oil to cleanse and detangle, while restoring strength for smooth, sleek results. The 12 oz. goes for $12.
Fortifying Conditioner includes nourishing ingredients such as shea butter, coconut oil, vitamin B5, jojoba oil, hibiscus and tiare gardenia flower that help repair and make the hair stronger for styling. The 12 oz. is available at Target for $14.
What I loved about this shampoo and conditioner duo was the silky texture and amazing smell…it has a sweet floral smell that is noticeable, but not too fragrant. I also could feel the slip when applying the conditioner and I only needed one pump of the shampoo, so that tells me it’s packed with the good stuff, and not a bunch of fillers.
Leave-In Conditioner aids in detangling and helps stop breakage and frizz in the days after use. This formula is packed with essential nutrients like Vitamin B5, aloe leaf, honeysuckle and coconut oil to leave the hair soft and manageable. The 12 oz. is just $12.
Styling Cream doubles as a heat protectant. It contains a bit of dimethocone, which is a silicone fiber used in many heat protectants to coat the hair and protect it from heat damage. The formula also contains silk fibers to keep the hair sleek and frizz-free after styling. Ingredients like olive oil, shea butter and jojoba are also in there to keep the strands moisturized. And no worries, if you have issues with product build-up, just use a clarifying shampoo on your next wash.
